New Australian Healthy Food Pyramid – Chooses Water

We are thrilled to see a new and improvedAustralian "Healthy Eating Pyramid" from Nutrition Australia

Thepyramid for healthy eating shows at the bottom to "Choose Water" as your beverage of choice.  They state that the simplest way to get healthier is to cut down on junk food and sugary drinks. We couldn't agree more, of course, and most of our customers are not only focused on filtering and alkalising their water, but choosing organic fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy, herbs and eating a diet that is oriented to alkaline foods that have been grown to sustain their nutritional value.

Similar to the Australian Healthy Food Pyramid, we also recommend this as part of our 'Discover the 5 Things You Must Do to Live a Longer, Healthier Life' poster. Our overall goal is to help people do this simply, and the simplest first step you can take is to choose water, and ensure the water you are choosing is cleanof:

  • Toxins
  • Industrial poisons
  • Heavy metals like lead, mercury and copper
  • Pesticides and other agricultural chemicals
  • Carcinogens
  • Bacteria
  • Cysts and other parasites
  • Chlorine
  • Fluoride

It then should be re-energised with magnetic energy, far infrared energy and alkaline minerals, so that when you drink it, you are hydrated at a cellular level.

Not all water does this, and most water we drink from the tap just passes through the body, unable to be absorbedand provide real hydration.

What is the Australian Healthy Eating Pyramid?

So, what is the Australian Healthy Eating Pyramid?

Developed by Nutrition Australia – a non-profit organisation providing evidence-based nutrition information and advice – the Australian Healthy Eating Pyramid is an easy-to-use, visual representation of the various types and proportions of food groups Australians should aim to include in their diets to enjoy a healthier life.

The pyramid is divided into ascending levels, each representing a food group and the recommended quantity of each group in the diet, providing a clear and simple guide to healthier eating at home that is easy to understand and follow. It emphasises the importance of a balanced diet, featuring a well-rounded variety of foods from all groups, holding particular focus on plant-based foods, whole grains, and healthy fats, and encouraging people to limit their intake of sugary, fatty, and processed foods.

Following the Australian Healthy Eating Pyramid can help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce their risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers, and improve your overall health and well-being.

Water as First Choice for Beverages

A recent (and incredibly important) addition to the Australian Healthy Eating Pyramid was the conscious decision to make water your beverage of choice. There are, of course, various benefits of staying hydrated, including:

  • Elevating brain function & preventing migraines
  • Boosting energy levels
  • Assisting nutrients and blood flow travelling to the skin
  • Aiding in flushing waste and toxins from the body via the kidneys
  • Improving heart function and reducing the risk of serious conditions, such as cardiac fibrosis
  • Lubricating joints for smoother mobility
  • Ensuring refined oxygen delivery systems
  • Creating better cushioning for sensitive tissues
  • Regulating body temperature
  • Promotes a more efficient digestive process
  • And more

Regular consumption should be encouraged, as each day, the recommended daily water intake is approximately 3 litres for men and 2.2 litres for women.

We also mentioned filtered water earlier, and many may be wondering whether filtered water is good for you. The answer is yes, but only if it also holds the necessary minerals and electrolytes for proper cellular hydration at home. For example, the utilisation of the zazen Alkaline Water System yields a twofold advantage – the elimination of potential contaminants and pollutants that may have infiltrated your drinking water, as well as the remineralisation procedure that emulates the natural water cycle.

We love food, who doesn't? We enjoy it most when we know where it has come from, who has grown it, and what is really in it. And it's not hard, today it's very easy, and we save money by not shopping at the supermarket!
