The zazen Alkaline Water System’s Wabi-Sabi Glass Bottom Tank is a premium, hand-blown, blue-tinted glass container that holds 8 litres of water, matching the capacity and compatibility of the standard BPA-Free Plastic Bottom Tank.

Crafted in Korea, each tank carries its own unique character. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, these pieces celebrate natural variation in hand-blown glass. You may notice ripples, visible tide lines, occasional larger or clustered air bubbles, or small raised areas such as a slight bump on the lip. These features are purely cosmetic and do not affect structural integrity, safety, or performance.

The glass construction provides a natural, non-leaching material that helps maintain the purity and fresh taste of your water while adding a beautiful, timeless aesthetic to your kitchen.

This tank is fully compatible with the zazen Alkaline Water System and offers a handcrafted, character-rich alternative to the standard BPA-Free Plastic Bottom Tank. When you fill your beautiful Wabi-Sabi piece, you will likey barely notice any imperfections.

We offer a 10-year warranty on the zazen Alkaline Water System, guaranteeing it to be free from defects from the original date of purchase. This warranty is valid provided:

  • The product is installed and maintained as directed,
  • The product is not modified, and
  • Consumable parts are replaced and installed within the recommended timeframes and guidelines.

Proof of purchase will be required if the product was not purchased directly from zazen Water Australia. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

This warranty is provided exclusively to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable. Any subsequent owner or user of the product is not entitled to warranty coverage, regardless of how the product was obtained.

If the product is purchased as a gift, the warranty remains valid for the recipient, provided the original proof of purchase is retained and the product is registered with zazen Water within 60 days of purchase. In this case, the recipient of the gift will be treated as the original user for warranty purposes. This exception does not apply to resold, second-hand, or marketplace purchases.

Yes. Each Wabi-Sabi Glass Tank will include a clear identifier on the product packaging and on the tank itself. This ensures full transparency and helps you easily recognise your Wabi-Sabi piece. It will also be recorded on your customer account as a Wabi-Sabi product.

Yes, you will still get the BPA-Free Plastic Bottom Tank as well. This gives you a lighter weight option for those customers who like to pack up their system and travel with it on holidays, as well as a spare tank should you accidentally drop the glass tank!

If your existing zazen Water System has a clear plastic top tank, then you can simply replace your existing BPA-Free Plastic Bottom Tank and Middle Rim on the bottom tank with the new Glass Bottom Tank which you can order online.

If your existing zazen Water System has a solid cream colour plastic top tank (this is our original model which was updated in 2010 with the clear top tank model), then you will need to upgrade the system shell completely, however you can use your existing filters, stones and magnetic tap. To order a replacement system shell, please call our office on 1300 78 24 25.

Our BPA-Free Plastic Tank does not leach chemicals into the water sitting in the bottom tank, so from a health perspective both tanks are equally effective.

We have been asked by many customers for a glass tank simply because we know some of you like glass! Just as we like to be able to choose between BPA-Free Plastic and Glass drinking bottles, we offer this option for customers who prefer a glass tank.
