All nutrition is affected by dehydration. I regularly hear from clients and students who have been drinking over two litres of water a day, taking magnesium and are still dehydrated and magnesium deficient.
If you suffer from:
- Chronic Pain
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Multiple Sclerosis
- ..... and probably a multitude of other health problems you are dehydrated and magnesium deficient.
As a zazen Alkaline Water distributor I hear some great stories. One lady with Fibromyalgia improved her symptoms with the zazen water, but needed to change her filter more often. We are not sure whether it was something the zazen was taking out or adding in! Another man slept through the night drinking zazen water, instead of getting up every night to empty his bladder.
The quality of water you drink certainly makes a difference, but it's not the most important thing. Clear the CAUSE of dehydration AND drink great water!
Kinesiology & Dehydration
Kinesiology has many different ways to test for dehydration, and 99% of people are dehydrated according to the third test:
- Tugging the hair and testing the client's response. This is a standard kinesiology test but only useful if you are working on healthy people. It's totally useless when working on clients in hot countries like Italy or Spain where they drink too much wine and not enough water!
- Verbally challenging "water, hydration, dehydration" and testing the client's response. A better test.
- Have the client look at a specific colour blue card and testing their response. This is the best test I have found. The interesting thing is that when I was researching the card one lady showed dehydrated looking at the card, but even after drinking almost one litre of water, she still showed dehydrated - the water could not get in! After the TMJ correction she tested hydrated.
Dr Batmaghelidg, author of 'Your Body's many Cries for Water' states that chronic pain is caused by chronic dehydration. When I was teaching in Annapolis Maryland I had the honour of meeting Dr Batmanghelidg and sharing research.
I tested him with kinesiology and found his Psoas muscles imbalanced. These muscles relate to the kidneys. It doesn't matter how much you know about water, how much you drink, if you are in fight/flight/freeze or survival you are dehydrated!
The Upper Trapezius muscles also relate to the kidneys.
Dehydration is also inextricably linked with fight/flight/freeze/survival and TMJ.
The jaw muscles hold the sum of all past traumas, so releasing tension from the jaw muscles dramatically reduces any fight/flight/freeze or survival reaction.
Recent Client Demonstrations
In the last 3 months I have done 5 demonstrations - one in Denmark, one in Sydney and three in Merimbula NSW, doing about 15-20 minute sessions on people with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Arthritis - the 50 video testimonials are on Youtube.
The Australian demonstrations all had zazen Alkaline Water available to give me the best chance to get the water and magnesium into the cells.
Everyone at the demonstrations:
- Was in fight/flight/freeze or survival
- Had some TMJ imbalance
- Was dehydrated
- Was magnesium and zinc deficient
It is impossible to fully correct dehydration without relaxing the jaw muscles and taking them out of fight/flight/freeze/survival - it is all connected.
Chronic Fatigue is caused by Trauma/TMJ/Dehydration, mercury toxicity and mineral deficiency.
1. Client Demonstration - Youtube #1 Chronic Fatigue - Amazing Instant Results with Kinergetics
Update: Thanks for following up. I feel incredible! I have an overwhelming sense of peace and I have great energy. I can walk fine, my leg is strong and I'm able to walk further than I have done for many years. Every time I take magnesium I can feel my body saying 'yeah, this will make me stronger'. I'm waiting for more magnesium oil to be delivered so taking the oral powder, but even just that is so powerful whereas before it did little to help. And I'm not permanently dehydrated anymore. That's a big change too.Thank you! Kathy Nov 2014.
The video demonstrates what happens when water finally gets into the cells (and takes magnesium in with it). Nothing had ever made any difference to many of her symptoms.

What can I do to help myself?
- Relax the kidneys which improves hydration. Simply hold your hands over the kidneys for about 3 minutes each side.
Relax the Temporalis muscles. Energise the muscles for a few minutes with the jaw open and the eyes closed.
This muscle relates to fight/flight and relaxing the Temporalis will make a difference to your reaction to homeopathic adrenalin. The adrenalin test is the best test I have found for fight/flight/freeze/survival. It is not uncommon for someone with fibromyalgia to react to homeopathic adrenalin from 10 metres away!
Sometimes it needs other corrections to totally change the reaction.
When you change the adrenalin reaction, the body:
- Is now out of fight/flight/freeze/survival
- Has improved TMJ balance
- Is instantly more dehydrated
- Instantly has better assimilation of magnesium and zinc
I had my blood drawn for a live blood analysis. The practitioner told me my red blood cells were dehydrated because they were sticking together. He started to tell me of all the things I would have to do when I returned home. I asked him to wait 10 minutes and let me go into another room where I would give myself a Kinergetics “hydration balance” then I would be back for another blood draw. He was amazed when he saw my red blood cells after the 10-minute energetic hydration correction. Actually, I was amazed, too. They were flowing freely.

About Philip Rafferty
In his early 20s, Philip Rafferty was intrigued when a petite woman muscle-tested him for food allergies. As she held certain substances to his body, he was unable to maintain strength in his Anterior Deltoid muscle, (the muscle you use when you hold your arm out). This began his lifelong study into the field of Kinesiology.
He has since studied many of the major branches of Kinesiology, and was the Founding President of the Touch for Health Association in Victoria.
Philip specialises in chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), candida, trauma recovery, sports improvement and Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder.
Through significant developments in his practice, he came to recognise the impact of specific subtle energy fields on our health. As a result, ‘Kinergetics’, an energy Kinesiology method, was created. This method is now a world-wide modality assisting people with ailments of all kinds.
In 1995 Philip developed a TMJ workshop called RESET. This enables people without any muscle-testing skills to balance the muscles and ligaments, by holding the jaw muscles between their hands, in various positions. This allows the body to do its own corrections and has worked miracles for thousands of people.
His current passion is the one-day Balancing Nutrition and Toxicity (BNT) workshop. Many students with chronic pain, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have experienced significant improvement during the workshop.
